Little Angels Calendar:
In August 2004, A Childs Hope Foundation invited me to attend and photograph the dedication of their newly built orphanage in Haiti. It was amazing to see this orphanage that the volunteers and members of A Child's Hope Foundation had worked so hard to create.The orphanage was built to house up to 300 children who have been abandoned or given away mothers who simply can't support their children.
After taking a ride on the bus and observing the unique lifestyle of Haitian living it made me grateful for the more upscale lifestyle we enjoy as Americans. Everyday we enjoy things like clean water, a washer and dryer, knowing that our trash will be picked up and taken to a proper location, and a sewage system that works! Our roads are paved,we have and traffic lights which allow us to the luxury of safe driving. These are things I never appreciated as much before my visit to Haiti.
The Child's Hope Foundation and it's organization have worked diligently to provide abandoned children in Haiti and Mexico the blessing to live with a loving family. Each of the children I had photographed at the orphanage were adopted through A Child's Hope Foundation and now enjoy the experience of living with a family and loving parents.
